Yemi and Kevin, both from London, have been singing together for 8 years, starting their occupations singing at open mic nights in Brixton. Now, they have a fantastically catchy new tune and as their tune states, the lads of The Chancery Lane, live the rockstar life. From fashion, to women, to great music - I had the chance to interview them and find out exactly what music, fashion and this вЂrockstar’ life, all actually means to them. The title The Chancery Lane
The Voice UK hit the screens and hit the ratings hard, becoming more popular than Simon Cowells “Britain’s Got Talent” and drawing attention from a lot of the public and musicians alike. Ratings dipped as the live shows commenced but there was one guy we kept our close eye on… Tyler James. Hailing from Canning Town in East London, Tyler’s unique voice and on point style helped him to become a runner up in the competition gaining the exposure he so desperately needed. He’s defiantly one to watch, and we’re going to be highlighting some of his key looks throughout the show and breaking down his style.

“What the world needs is a Tyler” - Will.I.Am
Tyler consistently broke comfort zones throughout the show, taking on songs that were a step away from his signature style. But when it comes to his fashion style it’s pretty different… he has a signature style and he sticks to it. He has got his style down to a tee and reinventing it completely is too far a step away from his comfort zone, so he takes his signature style and adapts it slightly paying attention to the finer details.
Signature Style
As mentioned Tyler has a signature style and doesn’t seem to break this. He carefully adds small additions to his look which slightly redevelop it each time. Tyler likes it tailored, opting for keeping things sockless and he keeps things subtle through darker, more neutral colour tones. The key stand out feature is Tylers focus on tailoring, focusing on trousers shorter in length rather than creating a scruffy effect through rolling them up. The fit of his suits are always on point, and he adds finer detailing through accessorising utilising pocket squares, ties and tie pins, along with focusing on the detailing of his clothing and adding smaller additions such as collar pins.
The thing we like about Tyler is that what his style is consistent and he keeps things stylish yet simple, choosing the correct attire without creating too much of a statement. His hair on the other hand creates the statement, opting for a high quiff and keeping things rugged. This contrast between a stylish and simple approach to the way he dresses and the rugged approach to grooming really makes him stand out. It adds to an effortless effect which his style portrays.
Here’s one of Tyler’s most popular performances, singing Higher Love on the Voice UK:
Tyler is defiantly one to look out for Musically and when it comes to style. We’re going to keep a close eye on this lad, to see how he reinvents his style and music throughout his career…

So often we get caught up in the amazing details of the wedding. Making sure everything is perfect and pretty. And while we definitely think the details of the wedding can be a fabulous way to show off your personality and love in a super sweet, super unique way, the words on the back of the groom’s + groomsmen’s’ ties say it all: Be Happy. We love this wedding from Sweetwater Portraits for reminding us that the biggest, most beautiful thing about a wedding is the love and the happiness apparent in the union of two special people. And because of that reminder, we’re convinced the gallery is going to make us all a little happier today!

From the happy groom … It was actually my eldest brother who at 2 or 3 years old, while our Aunt Mary was getting ready for her own wedding, looked up to her and said the words, “Be Happy.” Our mom never forgot the moment and two years ago when our aunt made ties for my brother’s wedding, those words were an obvious choice to mark such a special family connection. We were so honored to have my Aunt Mary make the ties for our wedding and thought those words to be the perfect send-off for our marriage as well.
From the blushing bride … Having grown up in the town of Swarthmore, with my mom an employee of Swarthmore College, the amphitheater has always been a special place to me. Tim, now a student in architecture school, fell in love with the space years before our wedding so it was really a natural choice for our ceremony. We decided early on that we would design and make as many of the day’s details as we could. Save the dates, centerpieces, signage and other parts became chances to experiment with wood and other materials as we tried to pay tribute to the truly beautiful arboretum that Swarthmore College sits in and we were so lucky to share. Tim had experience through school with laser cutting and etching which we used on a lot of the wood but in the end it was many hours that family and friends helped out with that put it all together.
Tim and I met upon arriving at Williams College in the fall of 2002 where we happened to have rooms assigned just doors away from each other. Our parents actually met first in the hallway while helping us move in which was sufficiently awkward but we both managed and soon thereafter were headed to where we are now. Tim proposed after 9 years including 4 between San Francisco and Philadelphia (he just couldn’t seem to make it to 10!). To have our amazing families and friends in Swarthmore for our wedding meant the world to us and we really couldn’t have hoped for anything more.

Oh Monday, how we love thee. And we love this Monday even more than most. Not only are we still toasting to the newest feature that will inspire your screens which launched yesterday, SMP at Home, we are also more than excited to share this romantic beauty by Volatile Photography. Because it is romance realized with all the pretty things we adore so much about ballroom weddings. It’s the vision of this gorgeous Bride and her pretty mama, and you can see all the prettiness they created in the full gallery!

From the Mother of the Bride… The Kohl Mansion was so beautiful that it inspired us to do a somewhat Victorian theme. We decided to go with soft tones such as champagne, blush, cream and white with touches of baby blue. We wanted the look to be elegant, soft and pretty, reminiscent of a Victorian ball. We added several personal touches by incorporating pieces from our own home to make the mansion feel even warmer. We hoped to create a feeling that our guests were in our home having dinner and a lovely evening with us. I was touched and very pleased when a guest told me exactly that. Several years ago, we attended a wedding at The Kohl Mansion. Not only was it spectacular, but also it had warmth and magic to it that we could not put out of our minds. We’ve talked about that wedding and the venue a hundred times since then. I’m sure it was always in the back of our minds that we’d love Erica to be married there. The moment she told us they were engaged, The Kohl Mansion was mentioned. Erica was thrilled at the suggestion, and we immediately made an appointment. Once we met with the absolutely wonderful event specialists, Terri and Dianne, we booked right then and there. We will never forget Erica and Aaron’s wedding day! It was a dream come true.
From the Bride… I wanted the wedding to have a very soft, romantic and vintage feeling. The venue fit this theme perfectly, and we all fell in love with it immediately. My parents and I did all of the wedding planning. My mom and I did all of the designing and picked out every last detail ourselves. We also had wonderful vendors who made helped make planning a piece of cake! The day was incredible — I couldn’t stop peeking into the dining room because it looked so beautiful! Aaron and I both have so many special memories from our big day and were so grateful to be able to share it with our friends and family. For the style of our wedding, we wanted the wedding party to look very classic and elegant. The girls wore black, and boys wore black and white. The colors we chose for flowers and linens were very soft pink, blush, champagne and cream. We wanted the theme to feel romantic and vintage.
Walking into the Great Hall at the Kohl Mansion was like walking into an formal party perhaps thrown at the turn of the century. Warm wood paneling, the dramatic six-foot fireplace and floor-to-ceiling pained windows, murals and lush draperies all lent to the mood. The gorgeous room was complemented with an abundance of soft flowers set upon champagne-colored crinkle tablecloths. The finishing touch was the dark wood chiavari chairs, which were very elegant. The mood, however, was not formal or stuffy. Good friends and family created a wonderfully happy energy. The loud buzz of chatter and laughter was music to our ears! Speeches were touching, sincere … and funny, of course. Woody from Big Fun Disc Jockeys kept the dance floor packed for the entire dance portion of the evening.

Some people love the idea of a candy buffet on a wedding table, some people don’t. For me this can be a wedding hit. Depending on your leading colors of decor you can decide to choose one theme colour or mix few colours and make it colorful. There is a wide range of candy that you can buy at online candy stores such as www.candywarehouse.com or www.groovyandies.com You can place candy buffet in a center that everyone will see it firstly or hide it in a secret area. But you have to remember- it’s an additional attraction, don’t spend too much money on it.
